The New York State Association of Community and Residential Agencies (NYSACRA) recently partnered with the University of California – Berkeley, the University of Minnesota and the Erie County Community College’s One-Stop Career Center on a multi-state grant offered by the US Department of Labor’s American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA). This proposal will provide training and placement services to assist workers to pursue careers in the health care sector, specifically in providing direct support professional services to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or other disabling conditions needing long term care and support to live in their home communities and avoid institutionalization. 8/9/10 - Chilodrens Issues Committee Meeting *Notice* Open Government and the New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (DDPC). All DDPC meetings are held in Albany, NY unless otherwise noted. Under law, the New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (DDPC) meetings and DDPC Standing Committee meetings are open meetings. If the public wants to attend, they can attend as observers. Participants may be asked to leave during breaks in the deliberations and when the meeting goes into executive session.
